For our first talk we are very pleased to welcome John Shortland who will talk about "Arthur Shortlands" which was in The Parade from 1898 to 1994. This will be on Thurs 15 August at Bourne End Community Centre.
Langstons and then Shortlands was a fixture on The Parade for almost 100 years until its closure in 1994. Generations of local families bought clothes and shoes there. John Shortland will talk about the history of the store from the late 19th century.
